Earlier this year, Joey Logano was a popular preseason pick for a top-10 Chase seed following his stellar finishes late last year. Finishing in the top-10 in six of the last nine races of 2010, the talented young gun looked like he'd be a shoe-in for a postseason spot.

He's still got a good shot at it but it hasn't exactly been the smoothest of seasons for the driver of the No. 20 Home Depot Toyota. Hovering in the 20's all season long in the points standings, Loganomight benefit from the new Chase format if he turns up his performances a notch or two.

By scoring a few wins between now and Richmond in September, Logano could score a Chase seed by being a wild card entry. Of course, no racer wants to earn the distinct consolation prize as much as any athlete hates the idea of being "most improved" at their sport.

Then again, if it means hoisting the Cup in November, you know the old saying - a win's a win!

Speaking of wins, when it comes to Logano and Kentucky, there's only one thing that happens: winning!

Not like Charlie Sheen's winning, mind you, but he's yet to lose a race he's entered at the Sparta, KY speedway. Could that streak continue in the Cup ride?

Well, why not? Not only does he score wins here, he's also quite fond of nabbing the pole position, which he's done three times as well.

Just as Kansas was pivotal for Brad Keselowski's chances of possibly making the Chase, Kentucky might be as important to Logano and crew chief Greg Zipadelli as the start to something beautiful this summer.

Now wouldn't that be nice for the ladies who dig this kid?
